So I got a response to my terse email to MarkSpace. It gets even better. It seems they KNEW they had a problem, yet did nothing to fix it. Instead, they sit back and let blokes like me inadvertently download an upgrade we can't have -- and then must uninstall and reinstall a previous version.
What wonderful customer focused service.
Here is the email they sent back. Incredible.
Yes, we do have that sort of mechanism, and we heard
it loud and clear when the 3.0.0 launched. We immediately
put out 2.5.2, which should have been much clearer.
But, you may have still been on 2.5.1, which still had
the confusing message. In fact, in a meeting for
another impending upgrade, the language of the upgrade
notification was mentioned as something we need to make
sure is clear.
